Hair loss is hard at any age, but for a child it can change how they feel walking into a classroom. We fit children whose hair loss comes from chemotherapy, from alopecia areata or universalis, and from trichotillomania. Each one needs a different conversation, and every one of them deserves a wig that lets them stop thinking about their hair.

Alopecia

For children who pull, a wig can be more than coverage. It can protect the hair growing underneath, which gives that hair a chance to recover. We talk with parents about cap choices that are hard to pull at and comfortable to wear all day. We also keep the conversation gentle, because many children feel embarrassed. Chemotherapy

If your child is about to start treatment, the best time to talk to us is before their hair begins to fall. We can match their color and texture from their own hair while it is still there. Their scalp may be tender during treatment, so we use soft, breathable caps. Some children prefer a wig for school and a soft hat at home, and both are fine.

Children's wigs are built from the same human hair as our adult pieces. Our Luxury Human Hair Wigs start at $3,000, and Virgin Human Hair Wigs start at $6,500. Most families choose the Luxury line for a child. We build in 1 to 5 business days. Families outside Los Angeles can start with a $50 virtual consultation.

How a child's fitting is different

We go at their pace

Nobody is rushed. Younger children often want to hold the wig, brush it, and see it on a parent's hand before it goes near their head. That is fine. The fitting is finished when your child is comfortable, not when the clock says so.

Privacy first

Our shop has a private entrance and offers after-hours appointments, so your child never has to sit in a room full of strangers. For families outside Los Angeles, we do the whole consultation by video, and your child can stay on the couch at home.

A fit made for play

Children run, climb, nap and wear helmets. We choose lighter caps, secure grip bands or clips, and lengths that are easy to manage. A child's head also grows, so we plan for adjustments.

What age do you fit?

We work with every age, from toddlers and young children right through the teenage years. Tell us your child's age and needs, and we design the fit, weight and length around them.

Can my child come in after school hours?

Yes. We offer appointments by arrangement, including after hours, through a private entrance.

Will the wig stay on during sports?

We fit active children with grip bands, clips or a snug cap so the wig stays secure. For contact sports or swimming, we usually suggest a sports cap and talk through options.

Can we do this remotely?

Yes. We do the consultation by video, guide you through measuring your child's head, and ship the wig. US families can try it at home before we finish it.

Should we buy before chemo starts?

If possible, yes. Matching your child's natural color and texture is easier while their hair is still there.
