What Happens at a Private Medical Wig Fitting

If you have never been fitted for a human hair wig, it helps to know what to expect. Here is a typical visit at our shop.
Before You Arrive
Book online or call (323) 496-3229. We are open by appointment only, Sun to Thu 7 AM to 7 PM and Fri 9 AM to 4 PM, with after-hours times and a private entrance available. Street parking is nearby.
Step 1: A Private Conversation
One-on-one in a private room. We ask about your hair loss, your timing, how you wear your hair, and what matters most to you. You share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Step 2: Trying On Hair
We try different lengths, colors, densities, and caps so you can see and feel the difference.
Step 3: Measuring and Fitting
We measure your head and adjust the cap for security and comfort. Custom wigs are ready in approximately 1 to 5 business days.
Step 4: Cut and Style on You
Your human hair wig is cut and styled while you wear it, so it frames your face.
Step 5: Learning to Wear It
We show you how to put it on, secure it, and store it. You leave confident.
Insurance Paperwork
We provide a superbill coded HCPCS A9282 (or L8499, only if your insurer asks for it) with our NPI. See cranial prosthesis and insurance.
